An overview of GovScout's Free, Pro, Team, and Custom subscription tiers, including features, limits, and upgrade paths.
GovScout offers four subscription tiers designed to scale with your government contracting business. Start free and upgrade as your needs grow.
Free Tier
The Free tier gives you access to GovScout's core search and AI assistant capabilities at no cost. It is designed for businesses exploring federal contracting or running occasional searches.
Included:
- 5 natural language searches per day
- Entity lookup (UEI/CAGE)
- Basic results listing
- AI chat assistant (4 tools: search, score, details, entity lookup)
- 20 chat messages per hour
Not included:
- Saved company profiles
- AI opportunity scoring on dashboard
- Email digests or alerts
- Slack or Teams integration
- Pipeline management via chat
- Deadline tracking via chat
The Free tier is a great way to experience GovScout's natural language search, AI scoring, and chat assistant before committing to a paid plan.
Pro Tier -- $99/month
The Pro tier is built for active contractors who want automated contract discovery, full AI assistant access, and deeper analysis tools. Most small businesses find this tier meets their needs.
Everything in Free, plus:
- Unlimited searches per day
- 5 saved company profiles
- AI opportunity scoring on dashboard
- Weekly email digest
- CSV export
- AI chat assistant (all 8 tools including pipeline, deadlines, and company profile)
- Unlimited chat messages
Not included:
- Competitor tracking
- Slack or Teams integration
- Custom alerts
Pricing: $99/month or $948/year (save ~20% annually)
Team Tier -- $199/month
The Team tier is designed for capture teams and consultants managing multiple clients who need collaboration features and more capacity.
Everything in Pro, plus:
- 20 saved company profiles
- Daily email digest
- Competitor tracking
- Slack and Teams integration
Not included:
- Custom alert rules
- API access

Custom Tier -- $299/month
The Custom tier is for enterprises that need unlimited capacity, full API access, and dedicated support.

Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade, go to Dashboard > Settings > Billing and select your desired plan. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
Downgrading
You can downgrade at any time from Dashboard > Settings > Billing. Your current plan remains active until the end of your billing period. When downgrading:
- Saved searches beyond the new tier's limit will be paused (not deleted)
- Company profiles beyond the limit will become read-only
- Notification integrations not available on the new tier will be disabled
- Chat assistant tools beyond the new tier's allowance will become unavailable
If you are unsure which tier is right for you, start with Free and upgrade when you hit a limit. All your data, saved searches, and company profiles carry over when you upgrade.
